在更換水龍頭之前，首先需要将水閥關閉，然後把舊的水龍頭拆下來。在拆的過程中，先要找到水龍頭和水管的結合處，把扳手卡在水龍頭上，按照順時針方向擰扳手，在擰的時候不能太過用力，避免把舊的水龍頭擰斷。将舊的水龍頭擰下來之後，找出新的水龍頭，在新水龍頭的連接部分纏上幾圈生膠帶，能夠避免水龍頭出現漏水現象，纏生膠帶的圈數要根據水龍頭和水管結合處的螺孔大小而确定。纏好新的水龍頭後，要把水龍頭對準螺孔，使用扳手擰牢固，擰好之後打開總閥，測試一下水龍頭是否漏水即可。
