沃爾沃與吉利合資創辦的電動汽車品牌Polestar（極星）今天宣布，Polestar 2車型的最新OTA更新增加了對CarPlay的支持，這允許iPhone用戶從儀表盤上方便地訪問常用的應用程序，并配有Siri免提控制功能。在Polestar 2中增加CarPlay是相當有趣的，因為該車原本的信息娛樂系統是由Android Automotive驅動的，這是一個直接在車内硬件上運行的全棧操作系統。
在一條推文中，Polestar說OTA更新正在逐步向客戶推出，并指出該更新也可在Polestar車間預裝，目前還不清楚廠家方面能夠何時能完成升級。
據蘋果公司稱，CarPlay可用于幾十家汽車制造商的600多個車型，但一些最受歡迎的電動汽車品牌，如特斯拉、Rivian和Lucid Motors尚未在其車輛中支持這一功能。
