單詞	含義	用法
borrow	借入；借來	指把東西從他人處借來； borrow sth.from… ：從……借來某物； He always borrows books from the library. 他經常從圖書館借書。
lend	借給	指把東西借給他人：

speak	講話；演講	1. 不及物動詞: 着重指說話的動作，指開口說; Speak to/with sb: 和某人說話; Don’t speak to/with him in class. 上課時不要和他說話。 Speak about: 談論某事; We are speaking abou the plan. 我們正在讨論這個計劃。 2. 及物動詞: 說某種語言; He can speak Japanese. 他會說日語。 3. 不及物動詞：發言，演講 He spoke at the meeting yesterday. 他昨天在會議上發言了。
say	說；講	一般用作及物動詞，着重指說話的内容; 1. say sth: 說… She says, “Don’t draw on the wall!”她說：“别在牆上畫畫!” 2. say sth to sb: 和某人說某事 Please say thank you to your teacher. 請給你老師說謝謝。
talk	說；講；談話	和speak意義比較接近，但不如speak正式，着重強調兩人之間的相互談話，也可指單方面的談話 talk to sb/with sb: 和某人談話; talk about sth：談論某事； She is talking with John in English。她正在和約翰用英語交談。
tell	告訴；講述；吩咐	指以口頭方式将某事告訴某人，常接雙賓語； Tell sb sth = tell sth to sb；告訴某人某事；賓語還可是：story, news, truth, joke, lie； She is telling the children a story。她正在給孩子們講故事。
