1、遼王耶律洪基意圖謀宋，喬峰鼎力相勸，隻可惜始終無法勸服遼王放棄，還使遼王産生了殺機，讓穆貴妃利用阿紫在喬峰的酒裡下毒，讓他失去内力，于是喬峰被捕。幸好阿紫得以逃脫，并通知中原人士前來相救。
2、喬峰雖被救出，但大家受傷的人太多，很難逃脫遼兵的追殺，于是，喬峰在雁門關挾持耶律洪基，逼他答應有生之年不得侵宋。此後，喬峰便以箭穿心，以死了清與遼王的恩怨。最後由阿紫抱住跳下山崖。
